Brandon & Victoria's Winterbourne Wedding
My wife and I have known Steve and Kerrie for longer than any of us would like to admit. So when Kerrie contacted me last fall to say that their daughter Victoria was getting married and ask if I was available to shoot her wedding, I had two reactions: (1) How can she be old enough to get married? and (2) I'd love to be the photographer! As a wedding photographer, it's always a bonus to be able to document an event like this for people you know and love. They chose the Winterbourne Inn, which is adjacent to the Club Continental (and has the same management), right on the St. Johns River. What a gorgeous place! The ceremony and reception were simple and beautiful, and the weather cooperated wonderfully -- especially given the fact that it was the first wedding of the season at the Winterbourne. It's hard to argue with 68 degrees and sunny in March.
A big hats off goes to Steve, father of the bride, who sang not one but TWO songs during the ceremony! As the father of two daughters of my own, I can't even imagine doing that without totally losing it.
And special thanks to my awesome second shooter, Amber Hoadley of Coffee Tree Photography for capturing some truly special images. All of the black-and-whites except one were taken by Amber.
